“If you found history rather boring back in the sixth form, then I can only recommend that you sit in on one of his lectures. Mr. Pieper knows how to bring antiquity to life. His captivating lectures have never once made me regret going to the campus in Schöneberg on Wednesdays after my internship (and I live in Hellersdorf). I even volunteered to go to the Altes Museum at the end of the course, where Mr. Pieper offered a voluntary guided tour one weekend. This was also well attended. I can't remember if there was ever another teacher who got me so excited about “learning” that I voluntarily bought books to delve even deeper into the subject matter. You have done everything right with him and I hope that the course can continue to be offered so that many more future students can take part.”
